History:1998 - 2002 Artist/designer/maker - part of Maze and Red Herring mixed media arts group. There are 16 Artists at the school road site many doing larger scale sculpural work. I work part-time on my lighting installations and smaller illuminated art pieces. And part-time employed by my own company Lumicube. Concentrating on lighting design mainly using perspex. Here I produce lighting and illuminated furniture for the retail market. Outlets include the Design Museum and Purves & Purves. I have also worked on commission for individuals and also for the BBC and The Conran Shop.
1994 -1998 Designer/maker - Seventh Seal Studios, North Road, Brighton, East Sussex. Moved into my first group studio (9 fine artists and me) to design and make objects and products. Started experimenting with different media, materials and finishes. Worked through wood, copper, electronics, aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel, chrome, resin, rubber, fur and plastics. Influenced by Art, Architecture and geometry the things I made here ranged from sculptural 3D games to furniture, homewares, domed wall clocks, and specific larger scale commissions.
1988 - 1994 Inventor - Created a series of abstract games and puzzles, distributed through Virgin games, the Design Centre and various independent retailers in Europe and Japan - With German business partners produced Axiom (European version).
